It's A New Day by Wayne Jury

It’s a new day (February 2020)

Singing the blues with nothing but a guitar and a passion, he’s all grass roots and heart – somewhat like the late Dutch Tilders”.
Chris Lambie, Rhythms Magazine May/June 2018.

The self-produced “It’s a new day” features 6 original tracks recorded and mixed by Jasper Jolley at Currumbin studio in Wallington. The studio is a converted fruit and veggie cool room with timber floors and walls that seemed to resonate with the music being created by Wayne and his musical collaborators. Matiss Schubert weaved his sweet magic on fiddle and mandolin while Jack Meredith got under the skin of the darker moments of this recording with his ‘Chris Wilson esque’ guttural harmonica.

Restless - Wayne Jury

Restless (November 2017)

“Restless” features 4 original tracks recorded at Medici Studios in Geelong. It was a simple process: first, find a good engineer (Michael Stangel in this case)  – record two ‘takes’ of each song, pick the best one, a couple of overdubs, mix it, master it.

It’s a true representation of what he does. It’s a high quality recording of Wayne Jury singing and playing – straight up and real.

Wayne Jury’s music can evoke strong emotions. His exceptional voice has the power, the technical strength and the main ingredient – absolutely heartfelt soul.
Frankie Lee, ABC Sydney.

Doors and Bridges - Wayne Jury

Doors and Bridges (June 2012)

When Wayne Jury returned to live in home town Geelong, life suddenly got a lot simpler. After 30 years based in Sydney doing the big city hustle, more time to write and play guitar afforded him an avenue to express the troubles and emotions he’d been holding on to for years.

With the doors flung open, both new songs and old were written and completed. The 12 track CD “Doors and Bridges” was recorded and produced with Dave Steel (Weddings Parties Anything, Archie Roach) at the Studio on Windy Hill in Winchelsea just outside Geelong in Victoria. Mastered by David Briggs at The Production Workshop. Cover Art by and Photography by Heather Griffiths.
